Steps to reproduce, used JDK, screenshot .... please provide more info - we can do nothing with such problem description I've just updated and edited some Java file - nothing special. Did You try to update Your installation? Or don't You even use NetBeans for development? Please, I don't see what kind of information might help You, so please tell me, but it's currently easier to edit the files using some simple text editor than using NB! Well, screenshots shouldn't help anyway, as just the edit window size changes while selecting (more exact: it changes when maximized, otherwise it seems to try to set the size, while it does not). Using JDK 1.6 please provide netbeans version number and exact steps to reproduce with a clean user dir, thanks i've just tried the latest dev build and didn't have any problems editing a file in maximized editor window. I guess, this is the most complete information about all the modules installed. However, some modules may not be up-to-date though, because some committers don't upgrade their spec numbers regularly, so updates break :-(
I've updated my dev build regularly, so it should just work ...
If You want, I can zip my NB installation (program and user dirs) and send them to You or attach them to this issue.
Hm, taking screenshots is easy but useless in this case - do You know a tool to make a "screen-video"? BTW, why isn't this related to 7.01? Is there already a branch without upgraded windows system api? thanks for the log but there are no window system related errors there. and i still don't know what's wrong with your netbeans installation. did you try running it with a clean user dir? also the build number says you're running build from may 19th, window system changes were integrated just yesterday. and your JDK is quite out-dated too... (In reply to comment #7) > thanks for the log but there are no window system related errors there. > and i still don't know what's wrong with your netbeans installation. > > did you try running it with a clean user dir? > Not an option to do the whole setup again. And it shouldn't be related to editing behaviour. > also the build number says you're running build from may 19th, window system > changes were integrated just yesterday. > As I've just told, I'm doing regular updates via autoupdate centers. > and your JDK is quite out-dated too... Sorry, I need to work with this JDK because of restrictions of the server software I have to use (which is only released for that JDK, so I'm not allowed to use a later one :-( ) |
