I tried to generate a thread dump - maybe not complete. I am using ClearCase for source control, but not the netbeans clear case plugin. In case I check a file, e.g pom.xml, netbeans is freezing complete thread dump |

Last exception is about a .sig file being locked by some external process. The exception before comes from maven. Moving to maven first. For freezes, you need to capture a thread dump. Otherwise (without steps to reproduce the problem) it is impossible to even guess what is wrong. Created attachment 108496 [details]

ReadOnlyFilesHighlighting Strange, there does not appear to be any apparent deadlock in the attached thread dump. Anyway I've made the ROFH's monitor not to span SwingUtilities call if that makes any change. Created attachment 108003 [details] netbeans logging NetBeans IDE 7.0 is not responsive any more after changing access rights of source and project files from writeable to readable. NetBeans has to be closed with the task manager. I am using an external version of maven (2.2.1) The Netbeans log file shows many exceptions.
