I use freeform projects.  (There was a similar jsp editor bug for freeform project that was partially addressed in 6.9)

This issue only occurs when I am either connected to using a slow connection, or not connected to the internet at all. Sometimes, I see the "checking for external changes" message in the task bar, and sometimes it says "suspended".

If you type a few character, you have to wait 4-5 seconds for the editor to reflect those changes.  For instance, delete several character in a row.  The first one is removed from the screen, but then the you wait for several seconds until the rest of the characters to be removed.  

This bug makes the editor almost unusable.

Incomplete. Please provide stacktrace and reopen it.
