The web.xml descripter use custom model, please move to the XAM model.

Both of your issue (this and 190157) are valid but considering that web.xml is optional since Servlet API 3.0 I wonder if it is worth the effort. If we had a plenty of resources I may see it differently. :-)

I think u can set the work to a lower priority...even servelt 3.0 is released, but it is not adopted widely. I think most of the real web projects are using Servlet 2.4 or 2.5 currently(I was always using a web framework in projects).

So I think it is better to implement it...it also make the NetBeans api looks consistent. I think the NetBeans IDE plugin developer will appreciate if it becomes true.

By the way, why NetBeans Platform does not inlucde a general propuse MetaModeling framework like Eclipse Model Framework and JetBrains MPS...???

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.
