I've seen different requests around getting this info about the file being worked on but didn't see this suggestion.

Under the View menu, have an option to show the full filepath in the status bar or title bar. This may help folks editing many files of the same name and who are used to this ability in Eclipse.

Some of the suggestions have been to use Ctrl + Tab or Ctrl + Shift + 1 to get this info, which is fine for a couple of uses but becomes tedious for extended periods. I've also kept the Properties window up to help with this, but it takes up space.

Is there another way to display the filepath of the file being edited directly in the editor that I don't know about?

Please reassign if Project Tab UI is a wrong component.
