Allow the user to be directed to the source code through the help menu; Help | Browse Source... in the true spirit of open-source.

Case Study:
XML Copy Editor (http://xml-copy-editor.sourceforge.net/) has a nice feature that allows the user to be directed to the source code through the Help menu.  The Browse Source menu option brings you here: http://xml-copy-editor.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/xml-copy-editor/.

I'm not sure, if users want to browse NB source.

Never thought about it but despite the fact that PHP is my native language I will for sure take a look if there is such option.

schkovich, you want to say, that you want to look and NetBeans source base on web, but you didn't do it beacuse there is no such action in the IDE?

Help | "Browse Source" | "Release Source" should point to the source related to the build.  

and

Help | "Browse Source" | "Daily Source" should point to http://hg.netbeans.org/main-golden/.

This will surely help engage the open source community!

No. I wanted to say that there is a difference between knowing that somewhere out there one can browse the NetBeans IDE source and been a click a way from doing it.

Having the link "Browse Source" within IDE will encourage my curiosity. ;)
