I think the cvs in netbeans would benifit from the cvs release function.  This
would allow a user to unmount a filesystem, and verify his/her changes.  Of
course the release -d option (release and delete the files) would be available.

You mean probably cvs release on the built-in client JavaCVS.
Command-line client has already the release command implemented.
However the user have to unmount the filesystem via the explicit
Unmount action.
Reassigning to JavaCVS.

Changing subcomponent to library as the release command need to be
implemented in the cvs client library.
