1. While the NetBeans window has focus, click the Mac OS X menu at the top of the screen
2. The "Checking for external changes" task will be started

Run with -J-Dorg.netbeans.core.ui.focus.level=ALL and attach log file. Thanks.

Please provide the log, I don't have easy access to Mac.

Now I can not reproduce :-( I will attach the log file if I see it again.
