Attachments: window need to be resized to appear to see buttons "Import Project" and "Cancel"

Description gautham mudra 2001-12-06 00:06:47 UTC
The Project Import window had to be resized to see the whole buttons.
The window does not show dots(...)as it usually does when it cannot fit in the
window in the provided space.
Steps to reproduce the issue
Steps:
1.Click on "Project" menu item
2.Then choose "Import Project"
3.A window pops up.

I have attached a snapshot to give better understanding

I am sorry, but i don't understand your description or I can't reproduce it on my Win2K box. Which
buttons aren't shown in whole, which dots are you looking for? On my machine I can see whole buttons and
they do NOT display any dots intentionally. Could you attach the snapshot as you've promissed and reopen
the issue if you beleive there is really something we need to solve. Anyway, thanks for the feedback!

In en-us locale the windows appears properly but in ja_jp(UTF8) locale
on solaris the window had to be resized to see the buttons.

It seems to be bug in JDK 1.3 (JFileChooser class), it works nicely
under the JDK 1.4 beta3. JFileChooser doesn't set initial size
correctly according to size of controls inside it. I see three options
now: 1. use JDK 1.4 latest beta, 2. file bug against JDK 1.3, 3. ask
somebody doing japanese localization to use shorter text.

Thanks Vitezslav. The window is showing up perfectly fine with jdk1.4.
so this is a jdk1.3 bug.i will file a bug on that.

Consistent use of the I18N keyword.

Resolved for 3.4.x or earlier, no new info since then -> closing.
