Reassigning for evaluation. Seems to be related to update of the IDE. 193 duplicates ... this it at least P2 *** Issue 173514 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** http://statistics.netbeans.org/exceptions/messageslog?id=272115 shows a CNFE on a class in core.windows. In fact core.windows is not enabled! Looking at this user's module list, only the platform and ide clusters have anything enabled, and even from those there are glaring omissions - such as core.kit, which it is not supposed to be possible to disable from the GUI. (Is AutoUpdate-Essential-Module being ignored?) Sounds like a badly botched update or install to me, though a failure of the new module resource cache to keep up with the changes in the enabled module list may be the proximate cause of the exceptions. A bunch of other duplicates show core.kit missing without explanation. From another messages.log, I see a huge number of modules failing to be enabled, including org.netbeans.modules.core.kit - The module named org.netbeans.core.windows/2 was needed and not found. Another duplicate shows the root cause as a corrupted org-netbeans-modules-settings.jar. Another has an MRE on org.netbeans.modules.server.ui.manager.Bundle; this module is not in fact installed. That is likely a robustness bug in AlwaysEnabledAction.getValue, which ought to catch RuntimeException, aggravating some layer caching issue. MRE should be caught earlier as of core-main #011cf08508c4. This is irrelevant for most of the duplicates. My best guess is that under some circumstances Plugin Manager can uninstall core.windows and/or core.kit, but I have no idea why. Integrated into 'main-golden', will be available in build *200910310201* on http://bits.netbeans.org/dev/nightly/ (upload may still be in progress) Changeset: http://hg.netbeans.org/main-golden/rev/011cf08508c4 User: Jesse Glick <jglick@netbeans.org> Log: One stray dupe in #172103 showed an MRE being caught unnecessarily late. |
