Java: 1.6.0_13; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 11.3-b02
System: SunOS version 5.11 running on x86; UTF-8; en_US (nb)

- open ProfilingDemo
- run, and press "Thread Map" button
=> Thread Map view is opened
- select time interval and click Apply
=> msg "Will show details on the next run" appears
- rerun
=> Thread map view with message "Will show details on the next run" is on the screen again and again.

I think it is fixed in http://hg.netbeans.org/cnd-main?cmd=changeset;node=aa0f71838a84

Please try the following as a workaround:
Open Profile Tools library using Tools->Profiler Tools Menu
In drop down list select C/C++ Observability, 
Click on ThreadMap Tool and Check "On By Default " check box

Then re-ran the application
