The Project type "Java Desktop Application" is not available under Ubuntu 9.04 when you have installed some plugins.

I've installed Netbeans 6.7 RC 2 in my home directory using the sh script. In a fresh installation the project type
"Java Desktop Application" is available. After installing some plugins - well, let's say a lot of plugins ;) - this
project type isn't available anymore!
I've read some blogs on "feature on demand", but never found this menu item.

It's a regression - this works in Netbeans 6.5.1

Product Version: NetBeans IDE 6.7 RC2 (Build 200906042131)
Java: 1.6.0_13; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 11.3-b02
System: Linux version 2.6.28-13-generic running on i386; UTF-8; de_DE (nb)

Instead of "uninstalled plugins" better say: Not installed plugins.

After the clean install when you could see the Java Desktop Application present in the wizard - did you actually
create it? Or just looked at the New Project wizard first page?

You probably face issue 162780.

A workaround: Show the Start Page, select tab Welcome to NetBeans IDE and click on Activate Features. In the dialog
make sure that Java SE category is activated.
