Marking as Random, since I could not reproduce the issue. Not a 6.7 stopper. Any steps to reproduce? Perhaps some kind of initialization failure. Corrupted or read only userdir? Anything like that? Also the IDE log could be helpful. How can I obtain the IDE log? Either 1) View -> IDE log, or 2) in Help -> About NetBeans you can find out the userdir location, and the log file is under var/log in the userdir. I installed Nb J2SE edition and then installed 'GlassFish v3 Enabler' plugin. But cannot add the server because of missing Servers node. This should be fixed. Then installed JSF plugin and all is working fine. So the original issue I cannot reproduce as well. I believe Martin's problem is caused by missing dependency - this in theory might make sense, but is impractical for user. Attaching patch. Created attachment 85258 [details]

In NB 6.8, the Enabler module does not exist anymore, so this only affects 6.7, right? Adding a NO68 keyword; this is a potential candidate for the next 6.7 patch (if there is one). this issue has morphed into something that is lower priority closing as wontfix. |
