I have tried to change the platform through (Tools > Python Platforms) to Python3.0 but it seems like NetBeans ignores
any attempt of me.

Firstly, I tried to add a new platform, but there was no way to add it. It keeps ignoring me when I choose:
/usr/local/bin/python3.0

Python is compiled and installed through compiling the source code, downloaded by the official site.

When I tried to change the configuration of Python 2.5.4 to make it correspond to Python3.0, and it seemed to work, but
actually, as I verified later it was Python 2.5 which was running.

Is there any valid way to configure Netbeans to use python 3.0?

Works for me on ArchLinux with either Python3 autodetected in its default location (/usr/bin/python) or manually installed in /opt
