All my files in root folder of the project have no CVS context menu item too. It seems the project is ignoring CVS metadata for my project root folder. Some steps for some issues: 1-Open IDE with project already opened, and I can see the context menu item CVS; 2-Run 'Show Changes'... several files from some ignored folders will be present in CVS Versioning windows (or not...) :( 3-Now, there is just Versioning menu for my project. Hmmmm... I think I found the problem. Now it is no more reproducible in my project since I remove my cvs cache. I think since I just install latest daily build for NetCAT test every day or always is possible and I just remove cache for java classes parsing, something is corrupted in my cvs cache what did my IDE works wrong. BTW, I think it can be dangerous mainly when we are talking about updates. Imagine that I update my cvs module and a issue patch works wrong because it? I think some thing should be done to recreate this cache or something like that. I decrease the priority since it is no more a regression and change the summary to you think about these things. Regards Ok people... I am sad to say that the original issue is back. I remove all the cache and sometime after that the problem happens again. Could you please provide further information... * Project type * which files and their path location * reproducible steps? Thanks To reproduce, just open the IDE and run 'Show Changes'. After this, the CVS on my project context menu is now Versioning. This is for free form projects. All the files on the project root folder has no CVS action in context menu, and some ignored folders, in my case just my 'target' folder, is listed as changed on Show Changes action (sometime not... sometimes yes..., and all as Locally New). For build 200808210201 everything is working well, just for latest builds this problems happens. Maybe the fix for issue 143323 broken it... Regards No update here... how can I send more info to you? IT is a really bad issue and I am having problems with CVS in latest builds related to that. BTW, I am using a normal freeform project, with internal project dir. Regards I have to admit that CVS is quite buggy in the latest dailies: 1) After creating a new module project in a folder which already is under CVS, the new files are not handled by CVS (black font, no Add, Commit...) 2) After check-in sometimes files, which are open in editor, stay marked as modified (blue). Neither update nor diff helps, I have to close the files. 3) Show changes action does not always respect external modifications Sorry for being so vaguely, for now I can't provide reproducable steps - the patterns seem to be quite random. CVS way of recognizing its files was a bit broken. 75dd40b00fcb *** Issue 145806 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** Created attachment 68957 [details]

A non problematic folder even with a problematic project
I know that it is already fixed, but since I am using build 200809020201, now the problem rise again and I get several pictures about the problem. I think it is important for issue history and maybe any future regression. BTW, asap I can get a latest build I will investigate if it is really fixed and post here the test results. Regards and thanks for the fix. Integrated into 'main-golden', will be available in build *200809031401* on http://bits.netbeans.org/dev/nightly/ (upload may still be in progress) Changeset: http://hg.netbeans.org/main/rev/75dd40b00fcb User: Maros Sandor <msandor@netbeans.org> Log: #145490: CVS did not correctly report files managed by itself It seen to be fixed since build 200809040201. Thanks. |
