1. Add Pointbase driver.
2. Start Pointbase.
3. Rightclick "Databases" node and choose "New Database Connection...".
4. Select Pointbase.

Result: Only "User Name", "Password" and "JDBC URL" fields are shown.

Yes, that's right.  I thought I was clear when I closed the original feature that I only did it for our main database
vendors, and that as time permits I'll add support for databases that most people aren't using. 

I'm changing this to an enhancement request and we'll see if we can get this done.

Judging from the code point base is equally good/bad integrated as the rest of the jdbc drivers. I'll close this bug. Please check current version of netbeans and reopen, if you think pointbase support lacks thinks other DBMS get.
