The change: "NetBeans Platform Application" added as a 4th item (with "suite" icon) to "NetBeans Modules" category as in

http://wiki.netbeans.org/NewProjectWizard

where the behavior is identical to that of creating a regular suite, going to Properties, clicking Standalone
Application, and accepting the offer to exclude non-platform-oriented clusters and modules.
