Description kroupv1 2008-04-21 11:05:52 UTC
In some situations, the items in the File menu are not read by the screenreader.
One of the cases is when I type a line that contains an error and it is highlighted by the IDE. I leave the error and
open the File menu, then the screenreader (JAWS) reads only some of the items. The same error applies for other menus,
such as Edit, View...
I found out that it doesn't happen only in this situation, but I was unable to locate the cause.

It is reproducible. Very important is to have an error in editor and stay with cursor on a line with this error. Then just push Alt key and the menu is not
reading.

But is looks like bug in screen reader itself, am I right? I think it has no connection to our window system, so I'm
passing to AWT/Swing category. But I don't know where the bug may be or how to fix it either...

No plan and resources to work on this now, sorry.
