Currently custom code which searches and replaces strings is used to generate Spring artifacts. This leads to
complicated code which is hard to maintain. A standard mechanism for generating template-based content, such as
FreeMarker, should be used instead.

I had made some changes to use freemarker but not everywhere in Spring Web MVC

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.
