Description Vitezslav Stejskal 2008-01-21 13:53:24 UTC
* autocompletion is so slow it's useless. Slow autocomplete was a problem in 5.5, but now it's pretty much useless. I
just keep typing now. This wouldn't a big deal, except sometime autocomplete kicks in and changes what I typed into
something else. Which means I can't just think about what I'm about to type, I need to keep an eye on what was just
typed to make sure it doesn't change out from under me.

Is there any specific reproducible case?
I remember it happened to me as well but I was unable to find out the reproducible steps.
Comment 2 clheiny 2008-02-01 18:05:44 UTC
Would a video screen capture work?
Comment 3 Vitezslav Stejskal 2008-02-06 10:14:21 UTC
Yeah, video capture could be helpful, but more importantly we would need to know more about your project, its libraries,
etc. I think there are actually two problems - slow CC and the fact that when slow and you ignored it CC rewrote what
you typed. Thanks

Sorry to delay this - I won't be able to attend to it in detail till next week. I'll update then.
Comment 5 Jiri Prox 2008-04-11 00:43:21 UTC
moving opened issues from TM <= 6.1 to TM=Dev
Comment 6 pribyl 2008-04-25 09:59:21 UTC
Well, any progress with that?
It is INCO for quite a long time, so this is just a little reminder :)
Comment 7 clheiny 2008-04-30 18:04:19 UTC
Thanks for the nudge. I'll download NB 6.1 later today, and see if the problem still exists. If so, I'll install a
video capture tool and try to catch it in action. If not, I'll mark this as resolved.
Comment 8 clheiny 2008-05-07 22:25:25 UTC
This seems to be somewhat better in 6.1, but is still present. It hasn't happened when I've had the screen capture
on, however.
Comment 9 Jan Becicka 2008-07-22 15:03:30 UTC
No additional input. Closing as fixed. We did many improvements in 6.1 and 6.5 releases.
