System description:  opensuse 10.3 on Intel

The installer does not create an icon to start netbeans in the desktop. Or anywhere for that matter.

The application in /usr/local/netbeans does not seem to have icons (the blue box) (except for mobility and exotic
subcomponnets.

I suggest that an icon directory could be added and at least the programmer can create an application launcher on the
desktop.  That was the case in 5.5

Actually the icon was really created on the desktop and in applications menu as well.
The problem is that it was created for the particular user - root - though it should do that for the whole system.

The issue is already fixed in 6.1 development builds.
