This is a regression from NetBeans 5.5.

In NetBeans 5.5, an nbm file in the 'Favourites' window is displayed with a distinctive icon; right-clicking on it and
selecting Open brings up the autoupdate client with 'manually downloaded files' pre-selected and the wizard positioned
at the second panel with the selected nbm already selected in the autoupdate client.

But in 6.0, an nbm file is treated as a jar file, and expands to display its contents. Right-click does not have an Open
menuitem in 6.0.

In NB6.x was decided to don't continue in support this feature. It has very low utility but negative performance impact.

I don't agree with you. IMHO, this is really necessary and I am frustrated about the resolution.
How can you affirm that 'It has very low utility'? I know several people who use this feature on 5.X and the new feature
is really bad. I think it should be reopened and done asap. And, it need support select several nbm files on Favorites,
Files or Project views and install all in the same time.
I am really sad about several features removed from NetBeans 5.X for 6.0, where just NB developers _think_ (or someone
else) it is not useful, but anyone ask me, a old user, about what I like or not.
