There are many instances where exceptions are caught and then ignored after printing stack trace, and exceptions are not
logged using the standard logging infrastructure.  An effort needs to be made to analyze how this class should be
handling and reporting exceptions.

The only references to DatabaseNodeInfo remaining in the code are in comments - this bug is there for now invalid.
