The Rails plugin manager doesn't support installing plugins via specific URL. This has forced me to install a few
plugins by the command line interface instead of using the Rails plugin manager.

Plugins like Paginating Find (http://cardboardrocket.com/pages/paginating_find) don't allow you to access the their root
SVN repo -- only the directory that the Rails plugin is installed.

Using Paginating Find as an example, you can only access the directory the plugin is installed:

http://svn.cardboardrocket.com/paginating_find

not this URL:

http://svn.cardboardrocket.com/

Adding http://svn.cardboardrocket.com/paginating_find to the plugin manager will just display "lib", etc directories.

I suppose there needs to be a "install directly from URL" button somewhere on the Rails Plugins manager.

Agreed. This will require UI changes and allow you to provide custom URLs. That will have to wait until the update release.

Sorry - I should note that I installed 6.1RC1 - the Ruby bundle.
