Thanks, Dmitry Stan, did you have any antivirus software running when you were installing NetBeans)? If yes, then could you please turn it off and give another try for installation NetBeans? installation log file with McAfee turned off
Stan, a couple of additional questions: how much memory do you have? what processor(s) do you have? Thanks, Dmitry as reported by user: Dell optiplex gx270 Intel Pentium 4 cpu 3.00GHz 1,046,516kb ram Windows 2000 5.00.2195 Service Pack 4 Stan, Unfortunately I still can`t reproduce the issue so additional investigation is reguired. could you please make a list of the processes normally running ? you can make a list with a help of tasklist.exe programm: C:\WINDOWS\system32\tasklist.exe /V /FO TABLE > log.txt Created attachment 50023 [details]
TaskList utility
Stan, I`ve attached this utility. Could you please make a list of command with the help of the command: tasklist.exe /V /FO TABLE > log.txt and attach log.txt? Thanks in advance, Dmitry Stan, I guess that this issue is somehow realted to the Issue 117334. In that case the core of the issue is the Logitec Process Monitor. So I would suggest to turn of unnecessary services and remove unnecessary running programs. I am alsmost sure that it the environment issue and of the running services/programs has such a bad influence. If you can do that (turn all the services/programs you can) in some steps and identify the exact program that cause such an effect it would be great so that we would release note those program. Special attention should be payed to monitoring/indexing/antivirus/guard software. thanks, dmitry Stan, any update? Moved install to C: logged in as administrator workstation only Turned off McAfee. Nothing else running. Did a full install. Got successful install. Created attachment 51240 [details]
Local Processes running at time of install
I see no much difference in the process list (just Netscp.exe that is NetScape Browser) so the issue could be the result of some environment problems. Closing at WORKSFORME at this point since the user can`t reproduce it any more. Stan, thanks for you help. Feel free to reopen the issue if raise again later. Dmitry |
