How are you doing this? When I use the wizard, the target-choosing panel greys out "Next" anf "Finish" when I type a duplicate name. Note that this panel isn't jar-packager-specific. The fix referred to in 7881 was for all wizards, including this one. Well, after further investigation, it looks like I did something a bit weird, and it might be a general bug, not specifically a jar packager bug. It only happens in this case: Create the test object in the root of a filesystem. Now try to create the duplicate: Bring up the wizard from File->New (not with right-click) Choose the object type, hit next Enter the name of the same-named object and indicate the root of the filesystem as the target location. Next is grayed out at this point. Hit the back button to see the template selection page. Hit Next again. Now Next is (incorrectly) enabled and you hit the bug. So, it is not a Jar packager bug, but a regular New wizard bug. I'm not sure what category it goes in. Could you move it? This seems to be a hole in the fix for 7881. Marking it a duplicate. I also re-opened 7881 and left a pointer there to Jan's explanation of how to reproduce it. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 7881 *** *** Issue 11503 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** Resolved for 3.3.x or earlier, no new info since then -> closing.
