In the plugin manager when I add want to add the 'Encoder Support' I get dependency match error messages, thus I cannot
install it, no matter what.

But if I can not install them, why do they appear in the plugin manager, these entries only clutter up the manager view.
I suggest to have a 'Filter' that would only show those features that satiesfy the dependencies. This filter should be
'on' per default. For those who are interested in seeing the other features, they could turn it of.

There could be also a 'link' on the bottom of the list (similar to '88 more...' link ): Saying 'Show filtered...', which
would show the filtered ones underneath the others. I would not display them mixed with the others, because that would
suggest I can install them.

I wholeheartedly support this enhancement request. If it's too late now for adding some UI for filtering out plugins
that don't satisfy their dependencies I suggest to simply disable their entries so that users can't check their
checkboxes. If user hovers above such module with mouse, the tooltip should give a hint: "This module does not satisfy
required dependecies and thus can't be installed.". Until this feature is implemented in NetBeans 6.0 we can't turn on
the Community Contributed Features Update Center that will contain all plugins from Plugin Portal.
