Description Vinh DANG 2001-03-23 12:40:20 UTC
I am running FFJ Release 2.0 CE build 1160, on Win NT4 1381, with the regional
settings set to "German (Swiss)" and the input locale (i.e. English United
States). WinNT is set to run in English (menus,etc.).

The source editor uses the regional setting "German (Swiss)" and
not the input locale to map what is typed on my US English keyboard
to what appears on the screen.
To get the IDE to recognize the keyboard correctly, I have to
change the regional setting "German (Swiss)" to English US
(which affects much more than the keyboard, i.e. date format, currency, etc.)

Bug in jdk.

This a duplicate, see:

Workaround (gets keyboard recognized)

Add to ide.cfg
-J-Duser.region=US

Keyboard responds properly. The "System Locale" reported in ide.log is now
de_US. (Good enough for me. I never had a problem with the language, that
is, everything has always run in English.
