Description Andrew Korostelev 2007-06-09 14:15:10 UTC
'Show aliases' uml option doesn't work.
It's selection doesn't affect uml project.

- open 'tools | options'
- open 'UML | General' tab
- set 'Show aliases' to yes.
names are still shown for elements in tree or on diagram.
Comment 1 Andrew Korostelev 2007-06-18 13:36:20 UTC
'Project - Show aliases'
option was renamed to 'alias - show by default'.
 but it still doesn't work
Comment 2 Andrew Korostelev 2007-06-18 13:48:47 UTC
see also issue 106986 - 'Show By default' option should be renamed or moved to 'Alias' group
Comment 3 Andrew Korostelev 2007-06-18 14:52:30 UTC
don't forget to check 'Resize with Show aliases Mode' option that is now blocked by this issue
Comment 4 Andrew Korostelev 2007-06-19 12:28:59 UTC
property was renamed in netbeans-hudson-trunk-923-full
Comment 5 Kris Richards 2007-07-03 17:08:10 UTC
Changing the preference causes all future elements to adhere to the new value. The change in the preference does not force the current elements to refresh
(really reset). Note that the project tree does not reset either and never has.
Comment 6 Craig Conover 2007-09-11 18:48:15 UTC
Workaround:
- Set the option as desired
- Right-click Model, select Filter
- If warning dialog pops up, click Yes
- Click OK
The child branches of Model node will be collapsed, but all nodes will display according to the current option setting
Comment 7 Craig Conover 2007-09-13 23:45:38 UTC
Waiver requested based on the fact that the fix is very intrusive and the work around (see previous comment) is very
simple. The ultimate fix will happen when the UML project tree is reimplemented to use all NB conventions. There are
other project tree refresh issues as well.
Comment 8 Peter Lam 2008-01-15 21:47:14 UTC
low priority function with workaround.
Comment 9 George Vasick 2008-01-15 22:04:50 UTC
Reviewed and approved for waiver by UML -iteam.
