This is right. In general, all of the Packages should share "general" UI element, if possible. The functionality behind should be context/project/package sensitive. Removal of Add Existing Item menu from visual web should be a P1 for M9 since this feature is not functional. We will revisit this action in the context of the Page Import feature which is currently TBD for NB 6. I have removed the "Add Existing Item" menu from visual web for M9. The M9 part is fixed (thanks, Po-Ting), moving to M10. This item has been removed from the menu item. I believe Po-Ting actually removed it before it was assigned to me (on the 13th). I will close this item. Po-Ting, can you confirm that the part two you were referring to is 90480. Anyway, the p1 portion of this item is complete. This item has been removed from the menu item. Anyway, the p1 portion of this item is complete. The menu removal is a temporary solution for M9. According to the HIE's comment, Visual Web should either merge the menu with C/C++ project or make it context menu. I will get this action back, for M10. And yes, not P1 now. No plan from visualweb to get it back for NetBeans 6.0 release. File->Add Existing Item... for visual web has been removed for NB6. Issue as originally reported has been fixed. |
