Original status: 5-Cause Known; Suggested Status: NEW Original Target Release: mako_dev; Suggested Target Milestone : Dev Original submitter: jbaker Description: Using Update 5 To reproduce: 1) Add a table to a Page 2) In the command property of the rowset, insert a syntax error 3) Drop an OutputText component and invoke the Property Bindings dialog 4) Expand the rowset Note: no indication that there's an error in the rowset property See attached image The trip rowset node should have subnodes for each column of the Trip database xxx@xxxx 2005-1-07 02:12:10 GMT xxx@xxxx 2005-1-07 02:21:32 GMT Evaluation: I agree with JohnB that the problematic rowset should have some indication that all information about it could not be obtained. The columns are missing becuase DP.GetFieldKeys() thrown an exception. This capturing this exception is an indication that the rowset is in trouble and should be marked accordingly. I have addressed this issue for data binding dialog and table layout. The problematic rowset is listed in red color in the combo box to show that it has some error. We should revisit this for the next release.

This may be fixed in NB 6.0. Need verification from database team
There should be an error dialog opening or message in the Output window, but there's not. No time to fix for 6.1
I think the Component error window should appear or an error dialog
