Description Chris Webster 2006-08-15 22:52:13 UTC
I am attaching a screenshot for NB 5.0 which shows the problem (the same
behavior exists on NB 5.5). There are at least two formatting issues:

1. Notice that the top level toolbar has abnormally large spaces between buttons.
2. The multiview buttons do not show the view names completely.

Do we know if this affects any platforms besides Windows?
Comment 3 Marian Mirilovic 2006-08-16 08:31:22 UTC
First of all we had already had reported issue like this
issue 56598 .

It was reported against JDK 6.0 (b59) and was fixed in JDK 6.0 (b80)
http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6349010

I think it's the same problem, this is regression in JDK 5.0 u8 and it looks
like it's only Windows platform problem (still under investigation).

It works fine on Windows 2000 with Windows classic L&F, so I think it's again as
the previous issue only WinXP L&F issue ;(
Comment 6 David Simonek 2006-08-16 12:14:39 UTC
P1 is reserved for crashes and data loss, so lowering to P2.
Marian, should I enter new JDK bug targeted at JDK 1.5.0_08?
Comment 7 Marian Mirilovic 2006-08-16 14:10:00 UTC
Dafe,
please report to JDK. I think you can use the test case from JDKbug 6349010 ...
Thanks in advance.

Dafe, Marian, can you attach the JDK bug number of the bug against 1.5.0_08 to
this issue? We want to escalate that bug.
