Can't enter url of repository, a Null Pointer Exception is thrown when trying to
a _valid_ url is entered, i.e. it was ok when an invalid http url is entered,
but an exception is thrown as soon as the url becomes valid.

looks like you don't have installed the svn commmandline client 1.3.x
