I'm a new user and I expected to find something along the lines of a:

local deployment
remote deployment

switch somewhere. How do I best deploy the files developed by net beans to my 
public server?

The description is not quite clear. I guess you would like to deploy to a remote
Tomcat, right?

Deploying to remote Tomcat is not supported at this point. Moving to tomcatint
module, changing to enhancement and specifing the proper summary.
