This bug is related to http://www.netbeans.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=57583, where nb created recursive folders. When I tryed to delete this folder within netbeans, it crashed. 

(These folders could not even be deleted anymore in Win2000 in the commandshell using 'del /S' however it worked with 'rd /S')

What did crash, NB or JVM ? 
Do you have ano log or dump?
I saw that you are using NB4.1 Beta, could you try the newer one ?  
Is this 100% reproducible ?

Please evaluate this issue - reported as related to #57583. If there is any
problem in filesystems, please reassign back.
