Description PaulPope 2004-04-24 21:18:53 UTC
I am using Windows ME. When trying to install
Netbeans v3.6 the installation window displays
the message "Searching for suitable J2SDK.
Please wait." The installer freezes and I
must "End Task" to end the installer. Nothing
happens once the above message is displayed. I
recently upgraded my J2SDK to v1.4.2_04.

Help!

We are sorry, but Windows ME is not supported platform for NetBeans
3.6. We have no resources to fix this problem now, sorry.

I can only recommend you install NetBeans IDE from .zip file. The
.exe-installer adds only the functionality of creating Start menu
group and associating .nbm and .java file extensions.
