Description zikmund 2004-02-06 14:26:10 UTC
Install NB to the directory with space in the name.
e.g. "NetBeans 3.6"

there's "rmScript.sh" in the installed directory
without execute rights, "bin/runide.sh" is without
executable rights too.

Notice: Same on Unix (Solaris).

Are you saying that if you don't have a space in the install directory
that you get the scripts with correct permissions? I ask because I
don't think there is any connection between the two so we may need a
different summary. :)

Yep,
whenever I tried to install NB 3.6 on linux/solaris into directory
with space in the directory's name, I've got scripts without execution
permissions (+ "rmScript.sh" stayed undeleted and has error inside:
directory name is not in the double quote).
In directories without space installer works fine.

If it is ISMP problem, let's leave it for promo-D.

Reoved the need for the rmScript.sh script and used the installshield
apis to set the runide.sh script to be executable on unix platforms.

Verified in 200403021830 build.
