hello, are the developers of netbeans going to speed up the netbeans ide. It is very very slow when compared with eclipse and idea. with the same code and same machine, netbeans is 3 to 4 times slower in everything you do with the netbeans ide. lots of people i have talked to are planning to move to eclipse or idea, as soon as they become a little bit more mature (especially eclipse since it is free). People will not continue buying bigger and bigger machines just to get some acceptable response (especially now with the bad economic conditions prevailing). instead they can use eclipse or ide on the same machines to get a better response. if nothing is done to fix the slowness of netbeans, 2 or 3 years down the road, only a handful of followers will be left.
