Cannot import options zip file created with NetBeans 8.0.2 export options function.

After specifying zip file, no options are available and OK button is disabled.

The same problem has been reported (Bug 231837) but in this version it's not working.
Comment 1 Theofanis Oikonomou 2015-09-15 13:57:03 UTC
Please reopen giving some more info. Are you trying to import setting to 8.1 beta or dev version? Please also attach the zip file you are trying to import and the IDE's log file. Thank you
Comment 3 Theofanis Oikonomou 2015-09-15 14:59:57 UTC
I can import both skins as expected both in 8.0 and today's dev build. Closing this one. Thank you
Comment 4 Sylosis 2015-09-15 15:17:01 UTC
Why it not works in version 8.0.2 ??? You tell me it's not a bug? If not, why I can import the skin themes?

I can import both skins in

Product Version: NetBeans IDE 8.0.2 (Build 201411181905)
Updates: NetBeans IDE is updated to version NetBeans 8.0.2 Patch 2
Java: 1.8.0_51; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 25.51-b03
Runtime: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 1.8.0_51-b16

You must be doing something that you are not describing and so I am unable to reproduce why this is happening for you and resolve it.

Steps I am following:
1) download the two zips from the links you provided.
2) go to Tools > Options > Import button
3) press the browse button, navigate to the location I have downloaded the two zip files and select either of them
4) Click OK button in the file chooser dialog
5) the result (successfully loaded skin) is shown in the attached images in comment 8 and comment 9

Do you follow the exact same steps? Can you please attach the zip you are trying to import? Thank you

I follow all steps (before create this "bug ticket" I spend several hours searching a "possible answer" to my problem.

Is this. I believe it's a specific bug in this release (Windows 8.0.2). Thanks for help.

Since there is no useful info in the attached log file could you please start netbeans with -J-Dorg.netbeans.modules.options.export.OptionsChooserPanel.level=FINEST follow the steps described in comment 10 and attach the log file here? Thank you

log looks as expected. I have asked others to try to reproduce but it works for them too. I cannot tell why this is happening for you. Can you also reproduce in latest dev build? Thank you

I tried with windows 10 and the result was the same. Settings from those zips are loaded as expected. I cannot reproduce no matter what, so unless you have some more detail or idea on how/why this might be happening only in your case, I will be closing this one. Thank you

before doing that please try to clear your userdir. You can of course export it first. Thank you

Hello dears,
i fased the same issue.
My approach to fix it was next:
- Export was performed from PC with
netbeans_default_options= blabla -J-Duser.language=en -J-Duser.region=US
On new PC this option was not present.
When i add it Import was performed successfully.
Enjoy)
