Description Lou Dasaro 2014-01-10 18:50:22 UTC
This is to request the following feature in Synergy:

As a tribe leader or similar owner-role
I would like to be able to apply user-defined labels across test Suites
So that I can more efficiently manage testing performed by my tribe

Rationale:
"Labels" aren't working the way I thought they would. I currently can only
label Test Cases, not Suites (unless I label every-test-case-in-the-suite).

For me, and probably for most tribe leaders, within a suite, each case
may have a dependency on the previous case ex. "Using the project you
used in the previous case, do xyz". So if I had to subset a suite, it
would almost always be the first cases in the suite.

Additionally, it's typically five or more times the effort to label each Test Case as opposed to labeling the entire Suites.

I just implemented this quick action, please check

http://services.netbeans.org/synergy/client/app/#/title/php_projects_and_wizards_test_specification/8.0

Next to each suite title there is a link called "Add label to cases" which allows to quickly add label to all cases in suite - so new cases will be without label but you can again repeat this action.

Works quite nicely. Thanks Lada!
