Product Version = NetBeans IDE 7.4 (Build 201310111528) Operating System = Windows 7 version 6.1 running on amd64 Java; VM; Vendor = 1.7.0_40 Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 24.0-b56 It would be nice to inherit the complete environment in going from release to release. This includes the tabs and tab organization of files chosen, editing options, the tools->options->C/C++, and the project->property environments (plus other that I should have mentioned but didn't). It is worth noting that there are 11 C/C++ compilers supplied with the current cygwin release. None of the compilers chosen in tools->options->C/C++ are inherited. This forces me (and anyone else) to redo the operations to provide the compilers within Netbeans. In my case I like to have tabs for all my compilable and test files and I do this by choosing each file in turn and organizing them so that the (C++) header file tab immediately precedes the associated C++ source file (x.h before x.cpp). It is a burden to redo this operation for each Netbeans release.
