"Select-by-word characters" property in Gnome Terminal

In gnome-terminal I can change "Select-by-word characters" property, but NetBeans terminal has not same option.

Scenario:
- Open terminal
- Type "gnome-terminal"
- Do double mouse click on "gnome" word
==>
first users expect: gnome-terminal word should be selected
other users expect: gnome word should be selected
