I tried to search something in NB searcher. As soon as I wrote something into a search engine, exception occurred. I also tried to restart IDE few times and it helps sometimes. Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 201308212300) Updates: Updates available Java: 1.7.0_40; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 24.0-b55 Runtime: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 1.7.0_40-b40 System: Mac OS X version 10.7.5 running on x86_64; UTF-8; en_US (nb) User directory: /Users/tester/Library/Application Support/NetBeans/dev Cache directory: /Users/tester/Library/Caches/NetBeans/dev
Please, can you attach your IDE Log? (Or report the bug using NetBeans Exception Reporter, when the exception is shown.) Which searcher do you mean? Find in Projects, Find (in Editor), search in Help, or something else? Can you provide exact steps to reproduce (what are you searching for and where)? Thank you.

I mean the "Quick Search in the system". It's placed in the top of right corner. You can write anything you want and exception occurs. Now, I'm testing newer build 201308280001, and there it works fine. I hope the log is what you mean..

Changing component to Quick Search. > Now, I'm testing newer build 201308280001, and there it works fine. I also cannot reproduce the bug with current development build. > I hope the log is what you mean.. Thank you very much, it is. But I cannot find any information about an exception in Quick Search. The only exception in the Log is related to bug 232389. Closing as WORKSFORME. Please reopen if you find any problems in the newer build.
