1. Install Netbeans 7.4beta on my Linux destkop (LinxMint 14)
2. start netbeans
3. Maxinum the main window
4. click any menu item. (e.g. file)

The menu popped up but soon disappeared.

This bug exists only on Linux platform.

Which JDK? IDE log?

nothing interesting in log, seems to me like JDK problem: please install 
newest JDK (you are using very old one) http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html and reopen if you can still reproduce. Thanks in advance!
