Test case:
1. In the main menu, choose File > New File...
2. In the Categories list, select PHP. In the File Types list, choose PHP Web Page. Click Next.
3. Accept default values by pressing Finish button.

EXPECTED RESULT: A new PHP web page is created and opened in the editor. A button to open the palette window is shown on the right, depending on the user's preferences.

Observed result: No Palette button is shown anywhere in IDE. I tried to reset all toolbars and windows but still no button shown. Palette is only available from menu Window->Palette.

Same here. I tried too to reset the windows, but still no palette window if I don't manualy open it from the menu.

Same with 8.0 Beta...

Same thing is happening with 8.0.1. Also, there is no option the menu like "Window -> Palette", as described in the first report by mmolda@netbeans.org

You can customize the Toolbar (View > Toolbars > Customize).

At first, just open the Customize Toolbars dialog as the above. Then, just Drag and Drop the "Window > Palette" to Your Toolbar.
