Description athompson 2013-03-27 14:30:41 UTC
I like the progress, but the new tab widgets use a dark blue background for the active tab on OSX. This makes it tough to see the names of modified, version controlled files (which are blue) and impossible to see the names of new files (which are green but blend perfectly on my MacBook). How about using just blue trim to show the active tab, or rethink the colors?

P.S. - This is completely subjective, but the new tabs aren't nearly as "polished"/visually appealing as the previous ones. How about some aesthetic tweaks? :)

Better colors and the tabs look much nicer with a well-defined border, thanks! But there's a couple of hiccups:
- If you start the IDE with normal tabs, and then switch to multi-row tabs, the tabs change but the incorrect colors are still used until you restart the IDE. The same applies if you change the "different background for different projects" option.
- Switching away from the app and back to it causes the incorrect colors to come back, and once again you have to restart the IDE.

Also, how about making the selected tab the lighter shade of grey and the unselected tabs the darker shade? That's the way virtually all apps with shaded tabs work (at least on OS X), and I keep getting confused about what tab is open--especially if there are only two tabs. The selected tab should stand out more than the unselected tabs and the lighter shade of grey stands out more. The issue is especially true if you're using the "different background for different projects" option.
