Description Linga Neerathilingam 2002-04-20 02:03:00 UTC
I am using the FFJ 4.0 build dated 020419 .

Choose runtime tab from the Explorer.
Click on installed server ,
Tomcat 4.0 doesnot show as the internal installed
tomcat server.

Thought I will install the tomcat server.
right clicked on the tomcat 4.0 , selected "Add
Tomcat 4.0 installation "

Entered the directory name where the internal
tomcat 4.0 is stored
( /export2/orion_0419/tomcat401 ) as home dir and
base dir in the
add Tomcat 4.0 installation window.

Got struct with another Null pointer exception bug

I wanted to let you know that the P1 bug I filled may not be a bug.
I cleaned up my home-directory/ffjuser40ee and then started the
IDE,
I did not see this bug.

so, first of all, can you add the NPE in the Issuezilla

there were some changes in the internal tomcat installation

are you able to reproduce your bug from fresh IDE installation

from your last comment it looks, you can not

if it is true, the bug should be closed
Comment 3 Damian Frach 2002-04-22 12:30:06 UTC
problem only in EE and not in CE

looks like enterprise module problem
Comment 4 Damian Frach 2002-04-22 13:00:38 UTC
if you remove xmlservices.jar from IDE, the bug is not
reproducible
Comment 5 Damian Frach 2002-04-22 13:54:15 UTC
it is duplication of the 22612 and its patch fixes this bug

Comment 13 Damian Frach 2002-04-24 13:24:06 UTC
Forte for Java, EE v. 4.0 (Build 20020424-1313)

now it fires NPE and causes the IDE deadlock

- try to open the server registry node
