Description:
The previous versions of forte use to show the demarkings 
of the 5 areas when i set border layout. So it was easy to 
assign a component to one of the corners.
But 3.0 just shows a blank panel or frame. Its very 
unfriendly to assign components.

This seems to me related to form editor, so re-assigning to them. If
this is not about form editor, could you please explain this in more
detail? Also, try to metion precise JDK version, and also precise FFJ
version (at least EA, FCS, or FCS with jumbo patch X), if known.

Sorry, but this was an intentional change, not a defect.
