I have a web application project on which project node I select "Inspect..." from the "Source" menu.

In the opening window the current web project is selected as current scope and for configuration I chose "NetBeans Java Hints".

Now I click on "Inspect" and the inspection process seemingly starts with a progress bar advancing slowly.

After the progress reaches 100%, the window closes and I get the message that "Project Type is not supported".

My question: Should the inspection option be offered at all for a certain project when the project type is not supported. ...and then, why is there a progress bar seemingly showing progress in the inspection even though the project type cannot be inspected?

I agree that if an action is not applicable in given context (web project in this case) it should not be enabled.

Jan, if I am right Source->Inspect makes sense only for Java ? Would you please evaluate how to deal with this (whom to reassign to) ? Thanks.
