This Bugzilla instance is a read-only archive of historic NetBeans bug reports. To report a bug in NetBeans please follow the project's instructions for reporting issues.
Currently, it only saves which files you have open when you close netbeans. It should save this list as you open and close files. Netbeans sometimes crashes and it means all the open files are reverted to the last time the program closed cleanly. If I open netbeans and have 5 tabs open, close them all, open a different one, it should be saved in that state. This way when netbeans randomly closes for no reason at least my files will be as I had them. At the moment if I make a lot of changes to which files I have open I need to close netbeans and reopen it to store this state
Still doing this in 7.2. It's so annoying. If nb crashes it wouldn't be much of a pain really, just re-open. I am getting to the point where I have to close and re-open nb several times a day as I open and close files so if it crashes I don't have to find where I was again
It's probably better to fix the bug that crashes NetBeans - where is it reported?
